Helen Jean Tyler Baker September 17, 1920 May 11, 2012

Helen Baker passed away in Laguna Woods at the age of 91.

Her two children Jon Tyler, and wife Brenda as well as Claudia Duval, and husband Gene, her grandchildren Doug Duval and Michelle O’Leary, her great-grandchildren Ryan O’Leary and Kylie O’Leary, survive Helen. She also leaves her daughter-in-law Brenda’s children, Sharon Peja and Shiela Peja, and their children Sean, Samantha, and Seth.

Helen was from a large family in Huntington Beach. She was the oldest of thirteen children. Her brothers George Thornton, Jon Thornton, Robert Atwood, and her sisters Irene Barret, and Sylvia Fredricksen survive Helen.

Helen was married to Lonnie Tyler for 56 years, residing in Garden Grove, for over 40 years. After Lonnie’s passing, she married Robert Baker, moving to Laguna Niguel for 13 years. After Bob passed, Helen moved to Las Palmas Senior Living in Laguna Woods.

Helen adored her family and friends. She spent over 40 years in bridge clubs. She was a member of the Garden Grove Women’s Club and the Huntington Beach Reunion Association.

Services will be held at O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills, on Thursday, May 17th at 1:00 pm.
