IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hedy Louise-Jane
Francois
March 28, 1947 – April 16, 2023
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia …her family made the hard choice to immigrate to the United States when she was young. While it wasn't the easiest life, it molded her into the compassionate and caring woman she became who always wanted the best for those around her. Being an immigrant also taught her the importance of hard work, family, and being open and caring to others.
Family was always one of Hedy's top priorities, no matter if they were through blood or the bonds of friendship and time, and would give everything she could to anyone who needed it. She extended this love and assistance to her patients during her time working as a nurse, always doing her best to go above and beyond for all and even more so when she became a teacher at Mission San Juan Basilica.
Hedy was a true Christian and embodied the ideals that Catholics always strive for. She lived these ideals honoring and taking care of her parents in their final years and doing the same for her husband Walter during his sickness and final years, never once complaining and always loving with a smile.
One of Hedy's favorite things was to host people and provide them with food that was more delicious than you could find anywhere. She loved to selflessly give and asked for nothing more than a smile.
Hedy will be missed by all and was a strong supporter of everyone she cared for. She will never be forgotten.
She will once again be embraced in heaven by her husband Walter, her parents Lucie and Willy Trebels, her brother Johnny Trebels, and her sister Jeanne van Grondelle.
Hedy is survived by her daughter Lucille, her granddaughter Cailin, another grandchild on the way, her brother Ray Trebels, and many more family and friends.
