Obituary

Hazel Howe Schwab passed away peacefully on June 25th at her home in San Juan Capistrano where she lived for more than 30 years.  She was surrounded by those who loved her.

Hazel’s hometown was Camden, New Jersey.  She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School as the valedictorian in 1944.   Hazel’s passion for education began a lifelong love of learning which she shared with all who knew her.

Hazel made friends wherever she went.  People were naturally drawn to her, and she was drawn to them.

Hazel’s “strength” was an anchor to her family and a comfort to her friends.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles Schwab, and children Janet, David, Philip, Linda and Nancy.  Hazel was the proud grandmother of 10 and the adoring great grandmother of 1.
