I just got the news and I can’t believe it. I guess I never thought that anything could get to Harry that he couldn’t beat with his box of tools and a roll of duct tape. Mr. Improvise.
Even though I moved from California to Colorado 16 years ago, I can recall countless great memories of sharing time on this earth with Harry, Donna and the kids. One particular memory? Two words: The Reinell – The most miserable “pleasure boat” in recorded history. Rare was the time that we took that evil boat out on the water that Harry didn’t have to spend at least half the voyage with his head down in the engine compartment trying to fix one thing or another. I recall like it was yesterday the time somewhere off Catalina Island when he was able to get us back underway using a cut up Coke can and duct tape. Amazing. Hopefully he never had to use that same procedure on a foot.
I truly wish that I could be there with you all to say goodbye. Our dearest blessings to Donna and the kids. He was a cool dude.

I had the opportunity to handle Dr. Confers Yellow Page advertising for several years. He was always such a pleasure to work with and treated me like a patient, with knowledge, kindness and respect. I remember lots of conversations with Dr. Confer that had nothing to do with advertising, but life experiences. He will be remembered as one of my best “good guy” clients. May he rest in peace…
