Harold Monteer, 89, was born July, 28, 1918 in Bingham Canyon, Utah and passed away March 19, 2008 at home in Mission Viejo, California. Harold and his wife Lucile celebrated their 62nd anniversary in February, 2008. Harold served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and witnessed the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima. Harold is survived by his wife Lucile; sons David Martha, Charles, Robert Jackie and daughter Margo Gary Carmichael; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
