In Loving Memory
Grecelina (Grace) Tindugan Clark
December 24, 1973 – August 21, 2024
Escondido, California
Grace, a wonderful daughter, sister, friend and wife, passed away at home at the age of 50 after succumbing to cancer while surrounded by family at her side. She was born to George Uypala Tindugan and Lina Dumanon Tindugan in the Philippines.
Growing up in the city of Butuan on Mindanao Island in the Philippines, Grace was number 13 of 17 siblings. She graduated from high school and college in Butuan. She worked several jobs there before immigrating to the United States in 2004.
After moving to Orange County, California, Grace eventually became a senior patient account representative with Mission Hospital and St. Joseph Health. She learned how to drive while living in Orange County. As a new driver, Grace seriously said that she loved bumper-to-bumper freeway traffic because she felt safe driving at that speed!
After an extensive 8-year courtship, Grace was married on June 4, 2019 to the love of her life, Lorin Clark. It was true romance from the moment they met. After marriage, Grace moved in with Lorin in Escondido, California.
Lorin and Grace both retired from work and began many adventures traveling throughout the United States. Their travel records substantiate that they drove 198,388 miles on road trips since meeting each other in 2011. It took 13 years to see 348 (out of 429) units of the National Park Service. The places visited were located not only in the continental U.S., but Alaska and Hawaii. Also visited were the National Park Service units found in American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Saipan (Northern Mariana Islands), and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Christine, who is Grace’s niece and Lorin’s goddaughter, brought joy to their lives during the last 2-1/2 years. Grace and Lorin helped raise Christine during this period of time. Christine went on several road trips with them. Perhaps Christine will someday desire to travel throughout our vast and beautiful nation because of this exposure given to her.
Grace will always be remembered as a true Christian. She was gracious, sweet, compassionate, loving, generous, and forgiving. She indeed had a heart of gold. She was Lorin’s angel from heaven, and now she is back in heaven waiting to be with him again.
Grace is survived by her husband, Lorin; her mother Lina D. Tindugan; her brothers Glenn D. Tindugan and Jay D. Tindugan; sisters Gemma T. Padua, Jean D. Tindugan-Larson, Jenny Lyn T. Nalupa, Joy T. Perez, Ginalyn D. Tindugan, plus numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and in-laws.
Grace will be laid to rest at El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest, California on September 14, 2024 at 12 noon.
We know Grace is in a happy place. She is now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father beholding His glory, but we love and miss her so very much!!!
