Obituary

Grace Hudson, age 92, died in Laguna Woods, CA of natural causes on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017. She was born Grace Evangeline Johnson, September 10, 1925, Powers Lake, North Dakota. She married Rev. Christian Hild, December 11, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN. He died in 1974. She married Charlie Hudson in Garden Grove, CA in 1978. He died October 2012.

Grace is survived by her son Randy and his wife Debbie Hild, granddaughter Ali, son Fred Hild and grandson Grayson. She is also survived by brothers Oliver Johnson of Vancouver, WA and Merle Johnson of Villa Park, CA.

She earned her BA degree and teaching credential from California State University, Fullerton and an MA degree in education from California State University, Long Beach. Grace taught elementary education in the Garden Grove Unified School District for 30 years.

Moving to Leisure World in 1995, she found her place in the Ladies 9 Hole Golf Club and volunteering at the Saddleback Hospital Thrift Shop.

Memorial service will be at The Village Church, Laguna Woods with Rev. Mike Bayer on December 10, 11:45am at Clubhouse 7. She is interred at Westminster Memorial Park.
