Gordon Philip Hite (Gordy) passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 in Marietta, CA, at the age of 87.

Gordy was born November 7, 1935 in Syracuse, NY to Charles and Loretta (Grenier) Hite, Sr. He served in the army after high school and graduated from La Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. On June 13, 1959, he married Susan Carley (Sue). To this union was born 3 sons.

Gordy worked in Human Resources for several aerospace companies which took them from New York to Kansas to California and Saudi Arabia. Orange County, CA was home for 60 years.

Gordy was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Susan, his parents Charles and Loretta, his brother Charles Hite Jr, his sister Marilyn Hite, sisters-in-law Frances Hite and Wanda Carley and niece Karen Carley. He is survived by his sons: William of Orange, CA, Philip (Carolyn) of Temecula, CA and Daniel (Natalie) of Flower Mound, TX; 5 grandchildren: Jason (Eryn) Hite and Kendall Hite of Asheville, NC, Jackson Hite of Temecula, CA, Kate (Alexander) Johnson of Richmond, TX and Amy Hite of Plano, TX, 2 great-grandchildren, Matthias and Luna, brother-in-law William Carley, nephews Thomas and Robert and niece Elizabeth as well as several great nieces and nephews.
