  1. Gonzalo was my son’s father in law and our friend. My wife and I were always confident that Gonzalo would “watch over” Jon. He was a wonderful man.

  2. Gonzalo always made me feel great. He was always caring and very fascinating. I will miss him.

  4. When I was little, I never really understood how I was connected to Gonzalo. I honestly thought he was family! I mean, he was always at the family events I attended! As a child, I wasn’t terribly excited to attend these family gatherings, in part because there weren’t a lot of people my age. But, I was always thrilled when I found out that Bertha and Gonzalo would be in attendance. They brought the best food. They would never talk down to me like the child I was. They were always genuinely inquisitive about my life. They would have me practice my Spanish and they would correct my Spanish. The reason my parents sent me to a Spanish immersion school was because of Bertha and Gonzalo. Today, I have the gift of speaking Spanish because of them. Mil gracias. Te quiero mucho.
