Gloria Ann Gorney (née Reyes) passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, in her home due to complications of long-term renal disease. She was a loving mother & grandmother.

Gloria was born on March 17, 1939, in Escondido, CA. She was a graduate of Escondido High School, Class of 1957. In 1959, Gloria was hired as a “jet-age stewardess” for American Airlines, where she worked for over 40 years and retired in 1995. She loved traveling and working with the public.

Gloria was a breast cancer survivor, and struggled with kidney disease for several years. Despite her health struggles, Gloria enjoyed painting, studying her scripture, and spending time with friends and family.

Gloria is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Gorney and Mackenzie Kelly, her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea & Tim Olijnyk, and her grandsons, Matthew & Anthony Olijnyk. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanette Reyes & Louise Reyes, her niece Vanessa Ferris, and nephew Alex Davenport.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 2nd, at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Memorial donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, pkdcure.org.
