Gloria Marie (Fiorenza) Aiello passed away on February 10, 2021 at the age of 91.  During her final hour she was surrounded by the family she loved so very much, as she was for her life.

Gloria was born in Rome, New York on May 28, 1929. Her parents Joseph Fiorenza and Clementine (Clara) D'Alessio Fiorenza immigrated respectively from South (Calabria) and Central (Rome) Italy through Ellis Island in the early 1900's.

On November 28, 1946 at 17 years old, Gloria Fiorenza married John R. Aiello, also from Rome, NY,, at their local Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist, and had three of their four children, Frank, Linda and Johnny.

The Aiello's moved the family to California and bought their first home in Costa Mesa, CA in 1959 where in August 1962 their fourth child, Joycelyn, was born.  Only four years later, they suffered a tremendous loss with the death of their son Johnny from his battle with cancer.  He was 12 years old.

After many wonderful years raising their children in Costa Mesa (where the family agrees was the "most awesome neighborhood"), Gloria and John moved to Irvine, CA where they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before John's death a year later.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband John, son Johnny, sister Antoinette and brothers Albert and Fred, as well as her sisters-in-law Connie, Helen and Mary.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Julia; her loving children Frank & Karen Aiello, Linda, and Joycelyn; grandchildren Tony, Stacy, Megan and Kelsie; great grandchildren John, Tanya, Abby, and Mia; and great great grandson Michael. And throughout the years, she warmly welcomed an extended family of 19 spouses and grandchildren.
