Obituary

Gloria Albamonte passed away peacefully at home, on April 1, 2018. She was born December 9, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to Salvator and Mary Albamonte. In 1955 she moved to Hawthorne, CA where she worked for the Wiseburn School District where she taught kindergarten and first grade until she retired. In 1997, she moved to Laguna Niguel. Gloria was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Secular Order of Franciscans for over sixty years. She was an active member of St. Timothy Parish where she volunteered with many organizations and enjoyed cooking for and feeding those less fortunate. She also enjoyed traveling, crafting, and cooking.

Gloria is predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Mary Albamonte, her brother Anthony and sister Anita. She is survived by her sister-in-law Lydia Albamonte of New Jersey, nieces Geralyn (Albamonte) Lyman of Katy, Texas, Linda (Albamonte) Lenahan and Stefanie (Albamonte) Petrick of New Jersey and their families. She has nine great nephews and nieces. She is also survived by many cousins both in California and New York.
