Obituary
Glennalee Smock
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in Bakersfield on November 12, 1939, to Glenn and LaVerne Thomas. She passed away in Westminster on December 5, 2005 form complications of gastric bypass surgery.
Glennalee was a dedicated wife, mother and friend who will be sorely missed. She demonstrated her love of life and kindheartedness to all that knew her. To the end, Glenna fought hard to be with her family. She left loving memories to all those who knew her.
Glenna retired from the City of Long Beach after working for the Parks and Recreation department. She also worked for the Long Beach Unified School District at John Muir and Helen Keller Elementary schools.
Glenna’s loss will be greatly felt by many. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Paul, who was at her side during her 2 1/2 year hospital ordeal, as well as her three children, Tom, Lisa and James. She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne Hulett, four grandchildren, Paul, Sara, Olivia and Andrew, as well as many other family members and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 13, 2005 at 4:00 PM, at Bethany Church, 2250 Clark Ave., Long Beach, California
