  1. Dear Family,I received a letter today from Janet telling me of the passing of George Bailey and also the previous passing of his wife,Marilyn. We grew up attending the First English Lutheran Church. Our parents were friends there, too. After we married, we kept in touch by Christmas cards. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. May God bless and comfort you. My dear husband Stan passed away 5 years ago. I live in a retirement community in Redlands and am 82 years old now. I only drive in town here. May God bless and comfort you, Virginia GRay

  2. Hank Lett says:

Much as we miss George, he is at peace and with his beloved wife.

  3. Jeff Turner says:

I had the privilege of knowing George from the Laguna Niguel Kiwanis Club. I was a member there for its last four years. George led us in song each week to open the meeting and to close it as well. I found him to be a kind and gentle man with a deep abiding love for his wife and family. That group of Kiwanians were all amazing men with great character and camaraderie.

I pray that the comforter would be close to your family in the times ahead as you navigate unfamiliar waters without him.

  4. George was a true friend and neighbor for some 26 years. He was
Bill’s Little League coach for some years. We vividly remember searching for the Bailey family car in Boulder City, Nevada one year. When we went on vacation, the Bailey’s were our pool users and kept the pool water up to snuff. But this particular year, we took vacations at the same time.
We thot it great that we would be in the same vacation spot at the same time. But could not find the Bailey’s car in any motel parking lot. Upon returning home, we found their car had broken down in Baker California. No one deserves that fate It took at least four days to get parts for their car and George finally sent his family home on a Greyhound Bus.

We send our prayers to the rest of the family. Love, Nancy and Bill
