George Howett Hanna, 71, of Glen Ivy, California, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013. Born November 1, 1941 to Gilmer and Alva Hanna in Dayton, Arkansas, he was one of six children and a graduate of Arkadelphia High School.

George also served as a Marine and retired with Southern California Edison in 1996. He was an avid football coach, sports enthusiast, animal lover, gardener, and outdoorsman. George was just a “good ole southern boy”.

George is survived by his wife, Ellie Hanna; children Denise Reynolds, Sam Hanna and Robert Hanna; stepdaughter, Kim Burnette-Artnak; grandchildren Kendra Hanna, Samantha Hanna, Andrea Reynolds, Nicholas Reynolds, Matthew Burnette and Nathan Artnak; great-grandchildren Connor Kues; and beloved family and friends.
