Genevieve M. Ferraro or Gen passed away peacefully, pain free and comfortable in her bedroom at home surrounded by all her large family at the age of 92.
Gen was born in Sullivan County Pennsylvania on January 30, 1931, the youngest of 3 children to George & Stella Gatta.
Gen grew up in Mildred Pennsylvania and was the Captain of the Cherry Township High School Basketball Team and Prom Queen. She graduated High School in 1948.

They started a family soon after with their first daughter Sharon born September 10, 1953 and Debbie born October 21, 1954 and finally Michele born January 17, 1960.
John and Gen built a life together living in Long Island NY. and soon moving to Gardena Ca. Where John got a LAX management job with Varig Airlines and Gen was a stay at home mom for her 3 young daughters. They also lived in Hawthorne, Lomita and retiring in Hemet and Las Vegas.
Gen loved playing the slot machines in Las Vegas and traveling in their new RV throughout USA seeing all the sights including Napa Valley wine country with their retired friends. Gen & John also enjoyed many cruises with family & friends, they especially enjoyed Alaska.
Gen loved to drink Moët Champagne with caviar and her favorite dish was an old fashioned plate of pasta with red sauce with a nice glass of red wine.
Gen moved in with her daughter Michele and her son-in-law Roy Martinez in Laguna Niguel CA when John passed in 2011.
Gen loved their busy home filled with 3 granddaughters, boyfriends, pet dogs, big family dinners, birthdays and 2 granddaughter's wedding+s.
Never a dull moment!
Gen loved her yearly summer Maui vacation with the entire family enjoying her ocean view cocktails and dining out.
Gen will be missed and forever in the hearts of her daughters Sharon, Michele and son in law Roy, granddaughters Shannon, Gina, Marie and Christina, grandson Shawn and 7 of her great grandkids and many more family and friends.
She will once again be embraced in heaven by her husband John and her daughter Debbie and sister Rose.
