Gemma was my closest, dearest friend. I remember the first day I met her sooo many years ago at CHC. She was so talented, clever, beautiful, funny and wise, with common sense, galore. If you had her as a friend, you had a friend indeed. I will miss her. Always in My heart and prayers. May God keep you in the Palms of His Hands. Love you my friend.
My love to you Letty, Kay, Stephan, and all the family

Aunt Gemma, the incredible lady:
My aunt Gemma was an incredible person; incredibly kind, incredibly brave, incredibly considerate and incredibly selfless. She gave my siblings and I incredible memories as children, from arriving in Ireland with “incredibly American” presents to phenomenal experiences in California when we visited. One generation on, she has become the key hole to America for my children. from receiving Frozen dressing gown gifts, to hearing tails of Disney land over the phone to becoming our future go to contact when visiting California when we had saved enough 5 and 10 cents to pay for the trip! We will visit you when we eventually get to CA to thank you for being incredible. RIP you incredible lady xxxx

Gemma was a caring soul and a staunch advocate with a warm personality and a smile to match. I was fortunate enough to have her as a field instructor in graduate school and later as a supervisor when she hired me and gave me my first social work job. It was an experience I will always remember and I am forever grateful to her for that. She was more like a friend and mentor than a supervisor and through her wisdom, charm, dedication, and witty sense of humor she imparted life lessons that I carry with me to this day. Rest In Peace Gemma.
