Dear Medeiros Family –
So very sorry to hear of your recent loss. I attended school with Gary – elementary through high school. He was quite the character and I still smile at the thought of him showing up at our 10th high- school reunion wearing his wife’s name tag/picture and not responding to his name. It is with incredible grief and disbelief that after returning from Brazil I find myself with news of such an unbelievable event. I am Kathy’s brother Ken’s friend and met Gary when I was younger. I had an immediate feeling of trust. The family he and Kathy became was evident to be from the vows of marriage I was so proudly to be invited to to witness. I knew them as our role models. Gary will always be a mentor and I am proud to call on him spiritually. I will sorely miss a chance to be with him again to have him remind me how good our lives are.
