Joanne, Karen, and Phillip,
I am so saddened by the untimely death of Gary. There was a unique aspect to our acquaintance…he taught my daughter in the 5th grade, and I taught Phillip in K. In your difficult time, know that many hearts hold you close. Prayers will lift your spirits.
Peace….Judy Jones

My Dearest Papa,
Each morning I awake I hear your voice telling me EGBOK Kareenie as a smile comes across my face. Papa, thank you for always believing in Mama,Philip and me. Your encouragement always brought me strength and now with God’s help I will carry on. My favorite memories of you Sweet Papa are watching you play with Noel. Your face would light up like the brightest star in the night sky as soon as you would see her. She will always be your “Peppermint Patty!” I will miss you Papa and I look forward to being with you in heaven where we will never have to say goodbye. I promise I will take care of Mama and Noel. Give Trinity a big hug for me and I will give Noel a big hug and a kiss from her Grandpapa. We love you so much. :
Hugs and Smooshes,
Kareenie Karen

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Gary Barker. I knew him as Mr. Barker. He was my fifth grade teacher at Linda Vista Elementry. My fondest memory of Mr. B was that he would get soo frusterated if he knew that his students were not trying there hardest. And when we did it would bring him so much joy. Gary Barker truly left a lasting impression on my life and all of the others that he knew, even if it was only just for a moment. He was a special man and will be missed by all.
