He attended the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad before graduating from Pepperdine University, where he built lifelong friendships and a strong foundation for his future.

Garrett was a successful entrepreneur, franchisee, and commercial real estate professional. He took great pride in helping grow his family’s business and was known for his drive, vision, and unwavering commitment to those he worked alongside. His success was matched only by his generosity—he was always eager to give back, supporting charitable causes and helping others whenever he could.

Full of life and always having fun, Garrett had an infectious energy and zest for living. He loved cars and golf and could often be found enjoying time outdoors or sharing a laugh with friends and family. His warmth, humor, and kind spirit made everyone feel welcome, and he lived his life with an open heart.

Garrett is survived by his loving wife, Christine, and his cherished children, daughter Callie and son Luke, who were the center of his world. His love for them was constant and unwavering, and his presence will forever be felt in their lives. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Wayte.

Garrett was preceded in death by his parents, Susan Anabo and Baxter Watkins, whose love and guidance helped shape the man he became.

Though his passing was unexpected, Garrett will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His generous spirit, joyful nature, and love for life will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
