Frieda Margaret Bamattre
November 29, 1918 February 28, 2010

Frieda lived a wonderful life and passed away on February 28, 2010 at her home in Orange. She was married for fifty-one blessed years to the love of her life, Bill, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was the loving mother and grandmother of Robert Bamattre Cyndi-spouse, children: Stephen, Richard & Heidi; Patricia Bamattre-Manoukian Pete-spouse, children: Matthew, Michael & Martin; William Bamattre Elizabeth-spouse, children: Nikolaus & Jacob; Beverly Barrington children: Daniel, Timothy, grandchild Matthew.

Frieda was born in Brawley, California to Louis & Teresa Berchtold. Two brothers, Walter & Werner, preceded her in death. Frieda was beautiful, smart, kind, compassionate, hardworking and fun. She quietly gave to others and lovingly cared for her husband, children, grandchildren, parents and brothers. Frieda, a young business woman, owned two beauty shops in her twenties; married the love of her life, Bill, during the war; and devoted her life to her husband and four children.

Frieda was a devout Catholic and lived her life with grace, integrity, dignity and kindness. She will continue to serve as our role model inspiring us to emulate her commitment to family, faith and friends. God Bless our sweet mother. We will miss her dearly and her spirit will live in our hearts forever.

Funeral Mass for Frieda Bamattre will be conducted on Friday, March 5 at 9:30 am at Holy Family Cathedral, 566 South Glassell Street, Orange, 92866.
