Obituary

Frederick Robert Bruno was a beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, Sweetheart, Cousin and Friend and will be loved and remembered in out hearts forever.  He was a brilliant, loving and compassionate man whom touched every life he came in contact with respect, consideration and positivity.
Our Father dedicated his employed life to State Farm as a Senior Claims Account Manager which is where to this day, he found several life long friendships.
When anyone came into contact with Fred he’d usually enlighten you with a fascinating story about growing up as a boy in New Jersey or one of his many encounters with famous Sports affiliates and well know Artists.
He was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest and will be deeply missed by so many people.

  1. To Patricia & Cousins & to all who loved Fred…….Cousin Fred brought a glow to the lives of all he came into contact with. Reconnecting with Fred and the family on Mother’s Day 2017 was a highlight of our lives–Our son Mike and his family were also blessed in getting to know Fred and Patricia and the rest of the Bruno Clan. We smile every time we remember him. We’ll miss him–But look forward to seeing his smiles again.

  2. Being a part of the Bruno family with Joanne over the past ten years has allowed me to get to know and love Fred. What a wonderful, outgoing and loving person! There was never a time when he didn’t have a great story about who he met, where he had been or what he had done during his travels. I’ll miss him immensely! Bruce

  3. A poem for my Big Brother
You showed me a lot of things, I learned a lot I didn’t know but you forgot to teach me one last thing, how to let you go.
I know you didn’t mean to leave me, sometimes we have no choice, I miss being your little sister, hearing my name called by your voice.
I miss you oh so very much, and my tears I cannot hide, yet within my heart I feel you are always by my side.
Ever since you went away life has never been the same that’s why this special message is sent above for the angels to take care of you and give you all my love…….Rest In Peace my brother…Give everyone a big hug for me and one day we’ll meet again……..Baby Sis

  4. Sending loving thoughts to all my cousins – Ralph, Marc, Arthur, Lorraine & Joanne – Patricia, and Fred’s children, Jennifer and Chris. Although I did not know Fred for much of my life due to the many miles between us, I did get to reunite with him and meet lovely Patricia on their visit to NJ in October of 2011. We quickly hit it off and remained in touch for the next 6 years. When I visited CA in March of 2013, Fred and Patricia were so gracious and took me on a tour of beautiful Laguna Beach that I will never forget. I also loved spending time hanging out at Fred’s home, watching the hummingbirds at the feeders he had lined up on his deck, exploring all his beautiful art, photos and sports memorabilia, and chatting about Masi family memories. Fred also drove out twice during my visit to watch my son play college baseball, and Marc joined us for a game. Seeing the brothers in action was a blast..they are so funny… and I came to realize the strong bond between them. I got to see Fred one last time when he visited in October 2016 with Patricia for his high school reunion. We had a 94th birthday dinner for my Dad, and Fred and Patricia were able to join us. It is always so much fun to be with Fred. He was never short on conversation and he always made me feel comfortable. I loved receiving his blast emails about travels and his photos and I will miss seeing them in my inbox. To all who knew and loved Fred, may your most precious memories be your comfort and know that his spirit is right there with you always. Love, Cousin Carol Ann

  5. Ed and I were so blessed to have had Fred in our lives. We had so many fun and interesting times together, with Fred and my sister Patricia. Great conversations, stories told with such enthusiasm and much laughter. The four of us got along so well and we so looked forward to being with each other and playing our rummy cube games.
We loved Fred dearly and I especially loved how happy he made my sister by tenderly, lovingly caring for her and surprising her with so many beautiful memories..
He will be greatly missed by us and many whos lives he touched. God was good and took him home so that he wouldn’t have to go thru any more. Our hope is that one day we will all see one another and just think of all the stories he will tell us then.
