Martinez, Freddie Montoya 'Nando' 83, of San Juan Capistrano, passed away
peacefully in his home on 10-09-08 at midnight surrounded by his family.
Memorial Services: 10/15 7-9 pm Rosary/Viewing O'Connor Mortuary, Laguna
Hills, 10/16/08, 10:00 am, Mass Mission San Juan Capistrano, followed by Graveside Burial at Ascension Cemetery.

He was born on May 31, 1925. San Miguel, NM A WWII Navy Veteran he proudly served his country in the South Pacific on Submarines USS Otus AS20, USS Kenneth
Whiting AV-14 & USS Brayling SS-109. He was awarded a gold card for 65 years of service as an active union member as well as various officer positions, most recently Vice President of Cement Mason Local 500.

Dec. 12 he would have celebrated his 59th annual pilgrimage climbing the A mountain
in Las Cruces, N.M. with the Tigua Indians & family members from all over the country.
He is survived by his wife Alice, of 62 years children Jeannie, Sandy, Fred Jr. & Larry; Six Grandchildren: Azsha, Garrett, Darren, Trevor, Gabriel, Alanna, two great-great grandchildren; Ian & Zaiden. Sister Cecelia Wall, brother Frank, sister Ramona Loera predeceased, as well as several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Passionate about his family & faith, spiritual, caring, dedicated, loyal, kind, giving
always helping people. He had a great sense of humor & loved to share stories, always
knew how to fix things & make things right. An amazing man-the glue that kept the family together. We will miss him so.
