Fred Ray Thomason, son of Robert & Roberta (Hooper) Thomason, was born Sept. 11, 1935 in Fairfield, IL and died Nov. 7, 2017 in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Fred grew up in Bakersfield, CA and graduated from Bakersfield High School on Dec. 31, 1955. He married in San Clemente in 1956. He attended Orange Coast for carpenter’s school. Fred enjoyed woodworking, hunting, coaching Little League and was crazy about hot rods.

He loved his family and friends; he will be greatly missed. Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, Louise Hartje, and one brother, Bobby Thomason. Survived by his wife, Winona C. Thomason of 63 yrs.; one daughter, Debbie Thomason of San Clemente and two sons, Greg Thomason (wife Brenda) of Temecula and Gary Thomason (wife Kim) of San Clemente; one sister, Arlene Micheau (husband Jerry); 7 grandchildren, Geoffrey Thomason, Steph Payne, Sheryl Johnston, Turner, Miller & Connor Wilcox, and Paige Thomason; 5 great-grandchildren, Carly, Emily & Hailee, Garret & Geoffrey, Jr. Celebration of Life at the home of son Gary Thomason on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 1:00 p.m.
