Obituary
Frank Vincent Firicano, 81, was born 8/22/1929 in Boston, Ma. He passed away 5/22/2011 in Lake Forest, CA.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Rose Firicano, his children: daughters Elizabeth Miller and Therese FitzPatrick, son Frank Firicano Jr, sisters Josie Molinaro and Marie Amarino, 10 grandchildren, and over 4 great-grandchildren.
Frank was a hard-working, caring, and selfless man. He dedicated himself to his wife and family, leading an active and satisfying life. His grandchildren and great grandchildren provided him with his greatest joy, and he did anything for them. Whether it was fixing a heater, tiling a floor, or changing the oil of a car, Frank could do it all. He would even make annual drives from California to Texas to spend time with his family and lend a helping hand until he became ill with stomach cancer in January 2009.
Working on the Boston Fish Pier for many years, his favorite pastime and passion was fishing. He loved the freedom and tranquility of the ocean, whether or not he caught any fish. He loved being one with nature.
We will never forget Frank’s humility, integrity, and generosity. His memory will live in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held and a rosary will be recited at O’Connor Mortuary Chapel, 25301 Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills, 7PM 9 PM, on Thursday, June 9, 2011. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 24252 El Toro Rd., Laguna Woods, California. 92637, on June 10, 2011, at 9 AM.
