Obituary

Frank M. Swiderski, of Rancho Mission Viejo, passed on August 3, 2014.

He was born in Chicago on October 25th, 1929 to Agnes and John Swiderski. Frank attended Loyola University before joining the Armed Forces in 1953. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service stars during his service. Frank returned home to the US and met Margaret Konetzny through a mutual friend. After three years, Frank and Margaret married on September 17th, 1955.

After his service, Frank continued his education. He studied accounting and auditing and worked for Peat Marwick & Mitchell as an auditor. He left Peat Marwick to work for Security Federal Savings & Loan Association in Chicago. Frank was Secretary and Treasurer, CFO until the close of the institution in 1997. He worked for Security Federal Savings & Loan for over 40 years. In 1997, Frank retired and him and his wife, Margaret moved to California to be closer to their grandchildren.

He dedicated his life to his family and his work. He inspired his children in music, tennis and love of learning. After moving to California from Chicago for his retirement, he volunteered for over 10 years at Mission Hospital, in Mission Viejo continuing his service to others. His hobbies included painting, walking, gardening and financial research.

He was survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Martin, Michelle and Mary; and grandchildren, Nicole, Megan, and Michelle.
