Obituary

Frank Gamble, age 82, passed away at home peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015 after a long illness.

Frank was born in Michigan, January 11, 1933. Frank’s wife Mary of 42 years and son Frank predeceased him. He is survived by his daughters Maura, Catharine and Lisa, sons-in-law Geoff, Dale and Phil, 9 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

Frank joined the US Marine Corps at the age of 17 in 1950. He retired in 1980 as a Captain after serving our country for 30 years. As a boy scout in his youth he saw a need to support BSA as an adult. When he and his family moved to Santa Ana, CA in the early 1960’s he began a volunteer career with the Orange County Boy Scouts of America until recently when his health no longer allowed him to continue. He served the scouting community over 60 years.

Frank and his family were among the first parishioners of St. Kilian’s Catholic Church attending mass at Mission Viejo High School, ground breaking for the original church, and the dedications of both the original and new church. Over the years Frank was an active parishioner.

Family and friends will miss Frank. Please join us to celebrate Frank.
