Obituary

He was preceded in death by: his father Thomas Albert, mother Fleta Mae and older brothers Thomas Edward and Melvyn Ray “CAP”. He is survived by: his partner in marriage of sixty-one years, Mavis and his four sons Steven Bradley, Brian Keith, Andrew Garner, and David LeRoy and four grand children Katie, Kenny, Jordan and Jake. Frank was born in Independence, Kansas. His family moved from there to Wichita, Kansas when he was three. He grew up in Wichita except for a short time in Missouri when he was in the 5th grade. His mother, stepfather Norman, and he, moved back to Wichita in 1947. He attended local schools there until he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Wichita in 1961. His engineering career included tenure at Aerojet General Corp. in Sacramento, California as a design engineer on the NERVA Nuclear Rocket Engine, Lockheed Missiles and Space in Sunnyvale, California as a design Engineer on the AGENA Satellite Rocket motor case and propellant valves, Sargent Industries in El Segundo, California as their Chief Engineer for New Products, National Production Systems in Los Nietos, California as the design Engineer on down hole petroleum pumps, and Parker Hannifin Hydraulics in Irvine, California where he worked as the Responsible Engineer on the Apache Helicopter Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Components until he retired in 2000. Frank was a born again Christian and a member of Saddleback Valley Community Church in Lake Forest, California. He loved his Lord Jesus, his family and his church.
