  1. My dad will be missed by me and my children dearly. My dad used to play catch with my son, Evan and he never missed a little league game. He loved my two daughters as well and loved to buy jelly beans for Emily and Alyvia. He made the best fried hamburger town. Unfortunately my dad was older when my daughters came along and they didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy him as long as my son did which made him sad, I could tell.

He would always say at Christmas time that “this is probably the last Christmas for me,” and we would all yell back,”yeah right dad.” Well, the last Christmas came and we all new it was his last and it was very bittersweet. I still see my dad now and then crossing the street wearing the same cap in the photo and his flannel jacket. I start to cry because I know that it isn’t really him but someone who looked a lot like him. I miss him everyday.

It’s really hard to say goodbye to your parents and know they are in a better place, free of pain but I miss them and feel lost without them. Even though he was 91 years old I didn’t want to let him go.
I love you dad forever. I hope you are dancing up in heaven with mom to Nat King Cole.
    Celeste
