Obituary

Francis “Frank” Edward Semelsberger

It’s with deep sorrow that we inform you that Francis (Frank) Edward Semelsberger passed away peacefully in his home on August 11, 2015 at the age of 72 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Loving and devoted husband to Mary Ann, they were married for 49 years. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he moved his family to California in 1974, ultimately settling in Mission Viejo. He had a successful 28-year career with law enforcement, retiring as a Police Captain with the Tustin Police Department.

He leaves behind his wife Mary Ann and two children, son Peter and his wife Lynn and their three children (Makayla, Alexis and Brooke) and his daughter Sarah, her husband Richard and their two children (Audrey and Austin). We will all miss him dearly.

  3. I went to school with Frank – St. John Berchman’s and Servite High. It was a small school so we were a close group. Frank always was a good kid. I never heard anything bad about him. He was always friendly.

Classmates who stayed in touch with him over the years have been emailing memories of him. He will be missed.

My heart and prayers goes out to his family and friends in California.

Dear Joanne and Mike, Thank you for the message you put on Frank’s memorial page. Had not looked at that sight in several years and was so touched to hear from the two of you. We were blessed to have a wonderful life together. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. Mary Ann
