Fran was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived through her teens there. She graduated from Mt. St. Joseph on the Ohio college. During World War II Fran joined the US Coast Guard and was stationed in Florida. Upon leaving the Coast Guard, Fran and her mother, Clara, moved to California. Frances had a long career with LA County Hospital. Upon retirement Fran moved to Leisure World now Laguna Woods in the 1960's with Helen Barr, a long time friend. We lost Helen a couple of years ago but we have fond memories of their gracious hospitality and the elegance and class of both ladies. Fran spent many hours volunteering for her church and was a devout Catholic all her life. Jesus has welcomed a special person home.
