Fe, known to her children as ‘Nanay’, passed away on September 11, 2023 in California. She was born in Lambunao, Iloilo, Philippines on April 29, 1944 to Esperanza and Salvador Lasara.

She raised her children Theresa and Elmer with love and devotion at Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with her husband Doroteo. She was known for her professionalism and dedication over the course of her teaching career of over three decades at Villamor Air Base Elementary School, Timoteo Paez Elementary School and D Carmelite School as a school principal. Watching movies, crossword puzzles, and gardening were some of her favorite hobbies.

Fe was a Catholic Women’s League member of the Shrine of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, Pasay City and has served various groups within the community of Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

She is survived by her children Theresa and Elmer, her son-in-law Rico, her daughter-in-law Jen, and her grandchildren Jan, Danica, and Jennelle.

A funeral service will be held at O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills Chapel and Crematory, Laguna Hills California, USA, on September 20, 2023, 10am – 12 noon.

Her remains will be coming home to her native land, the Philippines. More details about the funeral service in the Philippines will be released in the coming days.

It is with great gratitude that the family wishes to thank all the medical team that took care of her, relatives and friends who reached out to them during this period of grief, extending their prayers, love and support.
