Obituary
Our beloved Farshad Ladjavardi, A loving husband, father, & brother
Our beloved Farshad Ladjavardi, A loving husband, father, & brother was born Feb 13, 1960, in Tehran and was the first child of Oscar & Farah Ladjavardi. He was very smart and great in math and science. A very humble and kind. His cousins loved him the most. He was a top student during his H.S. time and graduated with honors. He attended the prestigious Sharif University of Technology in 1977 and obtained his undergrad and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in the auto and aerospace industry for a few years after graduation. During his tenure, he contributed a few great designs in the auto industry before moving to the USA in 1994.
He is married to Mina Kerishchi, a loving wife and soul mate who stood by him during their happy and difficult time. In 1992, their first and only child, Payam, was born.
Mina and Farshad, along with many other Iranians, moved to the USA to pursue a better life. Farshad continued his education and became a professional engineer, working in the same field for over 30 years until his death. All family and friends love him. He was known for his happy smile and humble manners. He enjoyed watching soccer games, reading the latest world news, and studying. He always continued learning and pursued continuing education. He was empathetic and would not hesitate to help others when needed.
A few words from Mina (his wife):
The Broken Chain
Little did we know that morning God was going to call your name
In life, we loved you dearly. In death, we do the same.
It broke my heart to lose you, but you did not go alone,
Part of me went with you, The day God called you home.
Our family chain was broken, and nothing seemed to be the same.
But God calls us one by one, and the chain will link again
Love you, Mina
A few words from his younger and only brother, Farzad:
One of my most remarkable memories of him was when the news of his college acceptance was posted in the newspaper. He thought he underperformed in his college entrance exam to the point of failure. But when the result came out, he not only was accepted to the top and most challenging school but also the #1 highest-ranked in the major he chose. He helped me with math during high school and protected me when I was in trouble or sick. I will miss him. I know he is at peace.
