My hart feels empty and my thoughts go back to the times that I worked with Farouk on the Kemya and Ohanet Projects. I appreciated Farouk as a committed colleague and as a warm friend. It is sad that he been taken away so soon. He has been fighting his illness very hard, but this was a battle that could not be won. Both, being much occupied, did not have much time to share. However, the time that we did share we had good discussions and he showed much interest in people. Farouk frequently mentioned his family and many other people he had contacts with. I will miss Farouk. I wish Jola and the family much strength to deal with the loss of Farouk.

To the family of Farouk. My sincerest condolences on the passing away of Farouk. I was very sad to hear the news. I met Faouk only once when visited me in Saudi Arabia over a year ago and in the few days we were together I felt that I have known him for much longer. He was a very warm and friendly person and his memory will live with me for a long time.
