At first thought, the somewhat daunting task for me to write some meaningful words regarding the life of a man that I unfortunately never personally got the chance to meet seemed formidable. However, making that task not only possible but manageable was the Love and devotion to this same man that was made so very prominent to me by my dear friend and his Son, Alex Kaabi. That same Love was made apparent in every conversation Alex and I shared regarding his Father and in every photograph I ever saw of the two of them together. In an earlier conversation today with Alex, I got to hear a bit more of the family history back in Iran and was told of the unimaginable sacrifices that the Kaabi family made years ago in order to emigrate safely to the United States just prior to the revolution in their home country. While impossibly difficult at the time, Alex’s Father made the correct decision and did what a loving Father had to do for the sake of his family. Add this to other memories Alex shared regarding his Father’s selfless acts of kindness towards others in need throughout his life and it’s no wonder that Alex’s admiration for, and devotion to this man has remained so strong through the years and will forever continue both in this life and to what awaits us beyond. Again, my heartfelt condolences to Alex and the entire extended Kaabi family at this time of their great personal loss. He will be missed!

نمیتوانم شکل تو را درک کنم، من شما را در اطرافم پیدا میکنم.حضور شما چشمان من را با عشق تو پر می کند، قلب من را فرو می برد، برای تو همه جا هستم. (Molavi/Rumi)
