    to my daddy,
for a man who did not want children, you certainly loved and provided for us every day of your life. I wanted so very much to be with you when you died – yet I treasure to moments that I curled up in your arms, your spirit already in heaven, and gave you my angel kisses. We had such a wonderful conversation, and I know that you heard me. I don’t mean the conversation about the free Der wienerschinel in heaven Of which I know your are enjoying this very moment. I mean the part of which I told you that you inspirted me to be a nurse, and be a part of helping others. Remember? We talked about that so many times. You lead me not only in life, but into the profession that I love. Happy Fathers Day to the sweetest, kindest, most special man in my life. How I miss you.
    Your eldest daughter, Julie

  4. Granddad was a man to be proud of. He was kind, caring, always loving and just a pleasure to be with. He was the kind of grandparent we hope to be someday. His love was endless and whenever we were with him we could always feel it.There are so many wonderful memories that we will treasure forever. We are truely blessed to have had him in our lives. We loved him very much and we will miss him even more.
