  1. Connie Tong says:

Gene was very excited for my husband, Dr. James Tong and me, when we found out we were expecting baby #2…..unfortunately, we lost the baby on the day of our wedding anniversary 5/12/15. When Gene heard the news, he was so kind and compassionate and told James that when the time was right…. To take me out and celebrate our anniversary that we missed ….. A year later, we saw Gene at his bday party at Casa Colina (I was incredibly pregnant with our rainbow baby)…. James and I knew that Gene saw and knew we were expecting again. We saw it in his eyes  We gave birth to baby Ella Tong on 5/12/16- our wedding anniversary a year after our loss. I will always remember Genes kind words and compassion when we went through a difficult time in our lives. May his family be comforted by the memories of him. KP misses him!

  2. Harmony to those close to him, sad a young life is gone, prayers <3

  3. I will always remember Gene’s smile and how he made a point to ask me if I was still singing. He knew it was my hobby and he would say “Keep singing”. It shows that no matter how many people he knew, which was vey many, he remembered something personal about that person to make them feel special. He will be truly missed around our Fontana campus. Thank you Andrea for keeping us updated over this past year. I will keep you and the kids in my thoughts and prayers. I know they will do great things to make their dad proud as he smiles down on them. Love to all, Jeanine Chavis
