Eugene Francis Lally, 79, of Mission Viejo, California passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014.

He was born in Boston, MA on August 14, 1934, to the late Albina and Thomas Lally. Eugene graduated from Northeastern University and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1957. He went on to become a leader in the frontier of space exploration at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and later founded his own company. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Margaret Lally. He is also survived by two daughters: Colleen Sheehy, of Ladera Ranch, CA, and Marisa Zucek, of San Jose, CA; and by four grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at O'Connor Mortuary at 7pm on Friday, August 1st. The funeral mass will take place at 8am on Saturday, August 2nd at St. Kilian's Catholic Church.
