  3. With great sorrow and sadness, I reported the passing of C&F member Eugene F. Lally at the C&F photo-networking dinner on July 30. Eugene F. Lally (August 1, 1934 – July 28, 2014) was credited with inventing digital photography for NASA and Apollo in 1961. He was C&F’s guest speaker in August 2011 and allowed his latest illustration to grace the cover of C&F’s magazine, and can also be found in the current issue. Thank you all who signed the sympathy card for the Lally family, it was delivered in person. I attended Gene’s vigil and funeral and met his wonderful family and friends – many who shared stories of this talented and kind human being who I considered a best friend and mentor for the past four years. It was Gene who first wrote to me “you connect the dots, when other people don’t even see a dot”… “keep connecting the dots as only you can”… which led me to dress up as “Lucy” in the dotted dress at our Halloween C&F photo-networking dinner, dedicated to the late Wall Street Journalist – Daniel Pearl. As a “connector of the dots” I have mentioned Eugene Lally’s name on a daily basis in reference to Clickers & Flickers and/or my “Lucy” business cards to which he so enthusiastically supported for the past four years. It was such an HONOR to know this man… who will be missed forever. Rest in PEACE, Gene….
