  1. Emery was such a kind man. A man that loved his family beyond words. He demonstrated such bravery and strength until the very end. What I will remember most about Emery is his smile. Despite the physical and emotional pain of such a long fight, he always smiled when familiar faces came to visit him. Emery touched so many hearts, and will be missed by many.

Sending the Owens family lots of prayers, love, strength, and peace.

  2. Dear Sheila, Andrew, Jaymee and Carson,
We are very sad for your loss. There are no words to express this time. Always remember that love never dies. May your sweet memories of your husband and father comfort you in the days ahead. And may you look forward to your reunion with Emery in Heaven. Prayers and deepest sympathy.

  3. Another angel in heaven taken way to soon. Prayers and love to the Owens family and friends..Peace be with you.

  4. Emery was a gentle soul and I feel privileged to have known him. Although often quiet and introspective, he had an enormous amount of inner strength that derived from his beliefs and his love of life, family, & friends. Sheila–you were his ‘rock’ and greatest advocate, I’m sorry that his life did not follow the script/path we all envisioned on the day of his transplant. I won’t ever forget his endearing smile. He is at peace now, and I wish you and your family fond memories, and peace.
