Emelina Gutierrez October 27, 1926 – March 18, 2018

Emelina and her husband Jose Manuel emigrated from Havana, Cuba. They lived in many areas in the U.S. finally settling in Southern California to restart Jose’s career as a telephone technician and raise their family. Much of their life they lived in west Los Angeles. In 1990, Jose retired and they moved to Rancho Santa Margarita, CA to be near their grandson, the first boy in the family in a few generations.

Emelina was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Manuel Gutierrez, her parents, three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her daughters Tamara Perez of Las Vegas, NV and Angelina Cyr of Mission Viejo, CA; her sister, Hilda Garcia of Kendall, FL; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a few other relatives. Cremation was requested and inurnment will take place at El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest, CA. Burial will be private.
