Obituary
Elizabeth Ruth Keyes is survived by her Beloved Husband Ed Russell Keyes. She is also survived by her loving Daughters Nancy Elizabeth Straka; Carol Ann Watkins and Susan Ruth Keyes-Huegle and sons James Russell Keyes and Thomas Henderson Keyes. She is also survived by 8 loving Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, 12/3/04 – 7:00PM at O’Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary.

Libi was my closest, Dearest and most wonderful friend for over thirty-eight years. Life will not be the same without her, nor will I.

Libby & I met in Nursing School in Conn…and although we lost touch in recent years she was my best friend during those early years of nursing…I remember the night she met ED and the night he pinned her. She was so excited and then the frat brothers sang ‘The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi’ to her. It is as if it were yesterday as the memories flood back. The suppers at her mom’s house, the hectic days of getting ready for her wedding and the night we waited for Nancy to be born. We wrote some after that and saw each other at least once more and although we lost touch she was always in my heart and I count her friendship among my life’s richest blessings because we came of age together and she shared her life with me.

We have only known Libi for a few years, since the time that our daughter Karen married her eldest son, Jim. When we first met her, she graciously and warmly accepted both our daughter and us into her family. She was a very loving and warm person, and will be missed.
