Elizabeth passed away March 24, 2023 , she passed away very peacefully at the Mission Hospital. At her bed side were her husband Alfred Sr., and Son Alfred Jr.

Elizabeth was born to Luis and Tomasa Escobedo in the city of San Gabriel, California. She was one of eight children in her family of  five brothers and three sisters. Elizabeth was the youngest.

She attended public schools in the San Gabriel and Alhambra and graduated from Mark Keppel High School in 1952. She earned her degree from Pasadena City College in Early Childhood Education and was certified by the State Of California as a bilingual pre- school teacher. She taught for over 25 years in the Capistrano Valley School District.

She was strong in her faith, and took great comfort in knowing God would be taking her home.

She is survived by her Husband Alfred Ramirez Sr., her Son Alfred Ramirez Jr., her Daughter Nancy Wright, her Daughter-In-Law Michelle Ramirez, her Granddaughter Barbara Ramirez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was a strong advocate for helping our U.S. Veterans. She spent many hours volunteering with VFW events to help aid veterans.

A memorial service will be observed at the O’Connor Mortuary located on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills on Friday April 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. She will be interred at the Rose Hills Memorial Park on the Juniper Lawn in the City of Whittier on Saturday April 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.
