Obituary

Elizabeth May Accardi, age 91 living in Orange County CA passed away peacefully due to a dissected aorta on July 27, 2023.

Elizabeth is survived by her children Blanche, John and wife Phyllis, Betsy, and husband Leroy, and daughter-in-law Barbara.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Paul, Jonathan wife Marianne, Tim and wife Katie, Justin wife Carrie, Chelease husband Adam, Stephanie husband Mike, and Geraldine husband Danny.  In addition, she had eight great grandchildren Malia, London, Christopher, Kaden, Jackson, Charlotte, Ada and Olivia.  She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent, son Paul and son-in-law John.

Elizabeth was born in York, PA and was the youngest of four sisters.  She grew up in Williamsburg New York. She attended the High School of Fashion Industries and studied to be a seamstress.  She was a homemaker for 60 years.

She met the love of her life Vincent Accardi when he asked her to attend his sister’s engagement party.  They were married in April of 1954 and were together for 57 years.  They traveled together to many countries including Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Egypt, Greece, Mexico, and the Caribbean.  When they retired, they moved to Pt St Lucie, Florida and in 2010 to California to be closer to family.  She continued to travel to Alaska, Budapest and beyond well into her eighties.  She loved Opera, Frank Sinatra, and music in general.  She loved going to new places, trying new things, and having fun.

A private grave site ceremony will be held for family and close friends on August 14th at Riverside National Cemetery.  She will be interred next to her husband Vincent.  In lieu of flowers please donate in Elizabeth name to your favorite charity.
