IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth Anne
Crawford
April 3, 1957 – August 19, 2025
Elizabeth Anne (Davis) Crawford passed peacefully in her sleep, after a long bout with dementia, in her home in Dana Point, California on August 19, 2025. She was attended by her husband of 45 years, Michael Crawford, and her two children Kimberly Phipps and Brett Crawford. Anne was born on April 3, 1957 to Richard and Jane Davis in Santa Monica, California. Her brother, Richard Craig Davis, still resides in the Los Angeles area.
As a young child growing up in Palos Verdes, California, Anne became very proficient at the piano, winning several competitions at a young age. She also practiced ballet and loved her time and her friends on the Drill Team at Palos Verdes High School. At California State University, Long Beach, she was on the Cheerleading Squad and was very active in Delta Zeta Sorority. In 1980 she graduated from Long Beach with a BA in Business Merchandising. Also, in January 1980 she married her college sweetheart, Mike. She began her career as a fashion buyer for May Company, then took a position as a Sales Representative for JG Durand, a French crystal manufacturer. When her first child, Kimberly, was born Anne decided to be a full-time mother. Brett followed in two years, and Anne spent their childhood years involved in school, sports, dance and all their activities. During these years Anne also became accomplished at tennis, pursued charitable activities and supported her husband's career.
When the children went away to college, Anne embarked on a third career as an Independent Travel Representative for Coastline Travel. This was a perfect career choice for Anne as it matched her lifelong love of travel. In this career and with her family she traveled around the globe to many faraway places. She returned many times to her favorite place to visit, Paris. She loved the adventure of new places and new people. In one of these travels, Anne and Mike fell in love with a place in Mexico, Punta Mita, ultimately building a house there that remains in the family. Many of her favorite times were spent in Punta Mita. Anne believed in many charitable causes, with Camino Health Centers being the most important of these. She was very active and often chaired their yearly fashion show. Extremely creative all her life, Anne was the creative force behind building and decorating three family homes.
Anne loved life and was always the life of the party. She loved seeing her friends, throwing parties, watching live music, the ballet and of course shopping at South Coast Plaza. Anne loved with all her heart and was loved by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Anne at South Shores Church in Dana Point at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 12. A reception will follow, followed by a private burial.
