Obituary

Elizabeth (Betty) Agnes Weber
12/22/1930 – 4/7/2014

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mom passed away very peacefully at her home in Irvine from the effects of COPD.

She was a military spouse for 24 years and moved around the country many times before Dad retired from El Toro and they settled in Irvine. She was an amazing artist, and worked in oils, watercolors, clay and paper. Painting was her escape from the craziness of raising her 8 kids. Mom was also a seamstress and made many of our clothes when we were growing up, and they were perfect! She had a great sense of fun and loved to go to cultural events, museums and the theater. She enjoyed music from many different era’s and sang beautifully. She was a bingo fanatic and spent many nights playing with her friends, and winning. In her later years mom liked to play Wii bowling and sing karaoke and even purchased her own system so we could have karaoke parties at her house. She loved to play slot machines and even won many times! She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Mary Jo (Mike) Kolb, Peggy Blair, Beth Cordero, Paul Weber, Jennifer (Scott) Reynolds, Dawn (Jim) Speer, Julie (Pete) Jensen, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lt. Col. (ret) John E. Weber, Jr. and her son Thomas Michael Weber.
