Elaine D Hartigan August 1, 1935      June 10, 2024

Elaine D Hartigan from San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point California passed away June 10, 2024. Her Love for life was expressed through endless service to her family, friends, and community. She was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois August 1, 1935. She graduated from Calumet High School where she met the love of her life Frank “Bud” Hartigan. She also went on to get a nursing degree. She married Bud October 19, 1956 and had five children, Glen Hartigan (wife, Karen), Scott Hartigan (wife, Julie), Paul Hartigan (wife, Tracy), Colleen Hartigan Talbot (husband, Scott) and John Hartigan (wife, Lexi). They also had 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She expressed that her purpose in life was to care for others. Bud passed away July 10, 2011. After his death Elaine opened a new chapter in her life to help and support those who were grieving the loss of a loved one. She brought light to people in their darkest moments as a grief counselor. Elaine was also a volunteer for many years at Mission Community Hospital. She was also very involved with many organizations at the Mission San Juan Capistrano for decades.
