EILEEN CARRON, 77

Eileen Catherine Carron, age 77 of Palm Desert, California, died on Wednesday, January 08, 2020 in Lake Forest, California. She was born to the late Norman E. Carron and Fyrne Catherine Schumaker Carron on July 21, 1942 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Eileen attended St. Luke’s Catholic School and Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.  She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and earned her Bachelor degree in Speech Therapy and Special Education.  She taught Speech Therapy in the Chicago public school system in 1964.

Eileen married Donald Koprowski of Two Rivers, Wisconsin on July 03, 1965.  Eileen and Don relocated to Madison, Wisconsin where Eileen taught Special Education while Don attended law school.  In 1968, Eileen and Don relocated to Barrington, Illinois where they started a family.  Eileen gave birth to a daughter, Kay Carron Koprowski in 1968.  Kay was born with Cystic Fibrosis and lived until February 01, 1982.  Eileen gave birth to a second daughter, Catherine Koprowski in 1969 who lived a few hours.  Eileen gave birth to a third daughter, Kristin Eileen Koprowski (Darling) in 1970.

Eileen and Don relocated to Thief River Falls, Minnesota in 1972.  In 1975, Eileen and Don relocated to Irvine, California.  Eileen lived in Irvine, California until 1992.  After her marriage ended in 1992, Eileen moved to Palm Desert, California.

Eileen was an active member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Eileen was a talented artist with numerous works in paint and clay.  She discovered her passion as a sculptor and created over 40 pieces out of numerous types of stone.   She was an accomplished sculptor whose works were exhibited at many art shows. Her pieces live on with friends and family.

Family and friends were Eileen’s passion and delight. She grew up spending summers and vacations with her three sisters, Mary Lee Carron (Schweiger), Jean Carron, Sue Carron, and a brother, Paul Carron.  She loved to host and entertain and frequently had parties at her house.  She was a true friend to all who knew her and continued lifelong friendships with everyone she met from the Mid-West to Southern California.  Her heart and home were open to anyone and everyone who needed help.

Eileen was a member of the Avondale Golf Club, in Palm Desert, California.  The golf club enabled her to enjoy socializing with her friends and “Palm Desert Family.”

Eileen is survived by her daughter Kristin, (Charles Anderson Darling) of Lake Forest, California, her five grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan, Daniel, Connor, and Sophia (Darling), her sisters, Mary Lee (Donald Schweiger), Jean Carron, and brother, Paul Carron (Bonnie).  Her dearest friends Ann Carter, Michele Moore and John Carr were like family to her as well.  She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

Eileen requested a memorial service that celebrates life.  The family wishes to thank all those who contributed to making her life fabulous, fun, colorful, happy and loving.  Donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 1801 E. Memorial services and arrangements were provided by O’Connor Mortuary at 25301 Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills, California 92653. Eileen Carron’s service will be conducted on February 01, 2020.

  2. Eileen was a very talented and witty lady and a good friend throught the years. She was a entertaining roommate at Marquette and a great asset to all our reunions. She will be greatly missed.

    To Eileen’s family – I knew Eileen from Avondale Golf Club, and she was a sweetheart. She was always very kind and funny, and I loved seeing her. May she rest in God’s Peace, and may you all remember her with only love and great memories.
