  1. We will greatly miss you Ed, your generosity and good nature and truely 1 of a kind! You always made every problem seem like no big deal and always lent a helping hand. And what proud grandparents!!

  2. I have very fond memories of my cousin, Ed Cmela. He and Dorothy welcomed me to CA when I started training at UCLA Medical School in 1976. I lived with them for 3 months before moving to West LA and they generously treated me as family. Ed’s humor, love of life and his care for Uncle Bill, his Dad, was praiseworthy. Finally, I still remember that as a little boy I attended Ed’s wedding in DC and had the privilege of kissing his beautiful bride, Dorothy. Needless to say, they lived an exciting and loving relationship all these years that we now honor in reflecting on Ed’s rewarding life. Joe

  4. Ed was my Dad’s nephew, my cousin.
We live in VA and vacationed in CA with the Cmela’s about 18 years ago. The most loving family ever. I will never forget the hospitality shown to us by Ed and his family and zest for life the whole family posessed. Ed was a wonderful loving man. He will not be forgotten. All my love to the family. Sharon
