By the way Jim, in case you don’t know, Dad always liked and respected you. Thank you for your kind words. It means the world to me.

  2. Eddie, my Nino. Truly a man of few words with a twinkle in his eyes that would rival a smile from Santa Claus. Every year I unpack my beautiful Avon nativity set I received on my 18th birthday from my Godparents, Eddie and Louise, and I recall very fond memories of our visits to Anaheim and their visits to New Mexico. Times change, families change, and unfortunately we didn’t spend much time together more recently, but those wonderful memories remain and those moments built who I am and how I raise my kids. When Santa brought them harmonicas for Christmas, I remembered my Nino playing harmonica in the Gila. When I picked Godparents for my girls, I wanted someone who would be that special person in their lives that was as thoughtful and loving as my Godparents. I know my Nino is smiling down on his children, grandchildren and Godchildren, and watching over them, just as he did in life. Thank you for sharing your love of music and dance with me — probably part of the reason Monday night is Dancing with the Stars family night in our home. You will be missed but you will not be forgotten. Hugs to Greg, Tina, Bridget and Carol. I am sorry I am unable to be there with you tomorrow. Now that you are always welcome at my home in New Mexico. With much love, Christy

Tina, Bridget and Greg, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. I didn’t know your father as well as I did your mother. But I think I knew him well enough to say whenever I had the opportunity to be around him he was always a pleasure. He was what i always thought of as the hip dad 🙂 and always made you feel welcome. I don’t believe I ever saw him without a hat, it was nice looking at the photos you posted now I can see he actually did have a head underneath all those hats. 🙂 Friends my thoughts are prayers are with each and everyone of you and your extended family for your loss.
    Irma
